Lead Retail Associate #1 (3 Days A Week)
Thursday, Friday + Saturday
We are hiring for a part-time retail associate role at The Yo Store. Our requirement for this role is someone with at least one year of retail experience. As a Lead Retail Associate, you will work with the manager to represent The Yo Store through sales, attitude and knowledge. This is mainly a customer facing position, and we are looking for someone who has the ability and desire to embrace a sales focused role.
Training would start immediately.
Hours:
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9:30-5:30
- Potential for extra shift coverage or extended hours come holiday season.
As a lead, you will be the face of The Yo Store when you are in the shop, and on weekends - our busiest days. Your key responsibilities will include:
Customer Service: Maintain a welcoming and professional store environment - you’ll be the point person for customers on your scheduled days. This includes building strong relationships with our regular customers, and creating a welcoming environment for new customers.
Team Communication: Relay important updates, new inventory or information to your weekend teammates to ensure a smooth handoff and continuity.
Manager Communication: Keep your manager updated with any significant happenings, questions, or concerns that arise during your shift.
Brand Knowledge: Familiarizing yourself with the brands we carry, and enthusiastically sharing that knowledge with our customers.
You must:
- Have at least one year of retail experience. Ideally with a similar small business.
- Familiarity with Shopify POS a plus, but not required.
- Holiday availability (if it falls on your scheduled work day)
- Be able to work consistent shifts.
- Holiday black out days. Time off during these time periods is not impossible, but is considered only if sufficient shift coverage can be arranged.
- Have excellent retail and relational skills
- Have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Work well within a team and alone
- A good understanding of small businesses and is able to adapt when needed.
- The ability to master multiple systems with many layers related to our point of sale system, inventory tracking, pulling goods for online orders, customer communication, etc.

As a Lead Retail Associate, you will work with the manager to represent The Yo Store through sales, attitude and knowledge. This is a customer facing position, and we are looking for someone who has the ability and desire to embrace a sales focused role.
