My Top Tips for travelling with 2 kids under 10 internationally (tried and tested!):
I just got back from a 2 week trip to see my family on a 10 hour flight to London. I've been doing this trip solo to England with the kids since my son was 3 months old.
Truly, you don't need much. I think i've bought every travel hack out there, but this year I slimmed it WAY down (maybe because the kids are older now and it gets way easier?!) and also only took hand luggage (whatttt!)
Here are my MUST HAVES:
Baggu Everything. AND, great news ALL the new Baggu Summer Collection is in - shop it here! I use the slim lunchbox for snacks. The travel pouches for toys and the carry on for over my suitcase. As we know more is more, don't overthink if you have too much, you always need more!!
The Yo Yo Stroller - this stroller has been GOLD for me. We use it SO much and never check it in - it folds up and fits ABOVE the seat, it has saved me so much! Worth the investment. It's been to Mexico and London with me this year already and you can roll right of the plane with it.
Something for your kids legs so they can sleep stretched out! I have bought the Stokke Bed Box in the past and it was great but when they don't want to carry it anymore, it's me who is schelpping it around and it's a PAIN!
SO this year, I went all in streamline and got this blow up inflatable travel foot rest. Used it for the 10 hour flight there and back for my 5 year old and it was great, small and very lightweight.
Screens: We always download multiple shows and make sure the ipad is stacked incase the screens don't work (yes this has happened before!).
A headphone adaptor is great to take so you can use it on the plane with your kids favourite headphones - we got this one for $8. We've also travelled with the audio splitter before which has been great if they want to watch the same thing (less arguments).
TOYS!
Small, new-to-them toys! I always hit up my local consignment/ thrift store here (Pinwheels is my go to in SE) to grab some small new plastic little things that fit nicely in a baggu pouch (this year she's into LOL dolls so they are tiny and great for travel!) AND sticker books ( these from the store are perfect).
My daughter also loves a bandaid for anything so I always carry a big box of those.
My son when he was a toddler used to be obsessed with cars and trucks so he would play for hours with a new to him car or new truck (he wasn't bothered about screens back then so we had to pack more).
Let me know what i'm missing ! I always love to know a travel hack! xx
My travel outfit go to: PJ pants of some sort - these Maya Meyer ones are THE best (she does custom so if she is sold out hit her up!). Slip on shoes, a shirt jacket and oversize tee always! For the kids - sweatsuits - we have the new BOBO CHOSE in store and it's so good!
